Twenty centuries ago the Romans, by installing an oppidum on Saint-Jeannet hill to watch the valley, planted the first vines and the first olive trees. The ruins of a press from the Roman era bear witness to this.
The Domaine des Hautes Collines is at the foot of the village of Saint-Jeannet at 400 m altitude it has belonged for several generations to the Rasse family, people really in love and passionate about the history of wine. They cultivate on their properties more than 20 different grape varieties, notably Merlot, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Gamay too, for freshness.
Lunch in St Paul de Vence : After soaking up Domaine des Hautes Collines relaxing atmosphere and taking your time on taste their wine, we will introduce you to St Paul de Vence one of the most beautiful villages in France, where you may order a typical cheese platter with assorted charcuterie, or rather head to one of the many restaurent in the village. Followed by a stroll through the medieval streets of the village to help you digest.
The Domaine de la Source is one of the smallest vineyards in France, with 7 hectares of vines nestled on the hillsides of Nice, grown in organic farming and with respect for the environment. All wines are certified organic: there are no pesticides or chemical fertilizers and in bio-dynamic cultivation.
The wine from Domaine de la Source is much appreciated by some of the best starred restaurants in the region… The grape varieties, Rolle (White), Braquet (Rosé) and Folle Noire / Grenache (Red), reflect the typicity and character of these rare wines.

You will be picked up at your hotel in the morning in mini air-conditioned van and leave the frenetic city for the hills of the Provencal countryside. We will cross the famous village of Grace capital of the world of perfumes to continue on the famous road Napoleon in direction of the village of Castellane for our first stop.
