After your pickup this excursion will start with a walking tour from the Fontaine du soleil, to the old town see the colorful flower and farmer market and to see where the locals live and much more… The only way to get to know the real Nice is by strolling through the ocher colored streets listening to the « Niçois » speaking their own language (Nissart) and by tasting their savory cooking.
The French and Italian Riviera in one holiday may sound decadent, but the Italian border is only 40 minutes from Nice so it would be a shame not to indulge ! Most visitors head to Ventimiglia or San Remo to see the basic markets, but they generally miss the Italian Riviera’s true gems.
Drive along the famous promenade des Anglais and reach the Castle Hill where the Greeks lived 2600 years ago, enjoy its gardens and the waterfall and a breathtaking view over the city of Nice. Photo stop at the largest Russian cathedral in Europe outside of Russia and arrive in Cimiez, see the Queen Victoria winter palace, a monastery built in the 9th century surrounded by a garden of Italian style, the tomb of the painter Henri Matisse, the Roman Arena built in the 2nd century , and the remains of the ancient Roman city.
